AND THE CHOIR SANG ON... - October 18, 2015

October 18, 2015 :  The Arch Street United Methodist Church Choir premiered the song “No Time for Hate” by Annie Lynn and Chris Arms at a special service, featuring the Reverend Benjamin David Hutchinson.    The mighty choir was directed by Music Director Adam Haines, and both Mr. Haines and the choir are to be commended on their interpretation of the piece.  From the lush opening harmonies to the swaying choir and congregants, this piece came to life in their hands.  Reverend Robin Hynicka is also to be thanked for his enthusiasm and his welcoming us as if we were members.  I am so in awe of Rev. Robin; he is truly an angel on earth, or maybe a new David, fighting for the rights of ALL of society, and standing up to oppressors and showing the world that “There’s no time for hate, only love.”

KINDIECOMM 2015 FINDS ME!!! - March 23, 2015

I had an amazing time at KINDIECOMM 2015, a convention for Children's Independent Songwriters.  It was held at World Cafe Live/WXPN Studios in Philadelphia.  Couldn't believe this was in my own back yard.  I attended some amazing workshops put on by Children's Music Network, and met many old and new friends in the business.  I had serious and enlightening conversations with the guys from the Pop-Ups, and Joe from the Okee Dokee Brothers, who all agreed that more children's songwriters need to write for schools and families, giving them material that supports the idea that it is okay to be yourself, whoever or whatever that is.  We talked about writing songs that reflect the changing and more accepting times (sounds like a Dylan song, eh?)  I also got to meet and take a photo with my childhood TV mentor....Bob McGrath from Sesame Street.  He was so sweet and encouraging.  He lead a beautiful and touching rendition of "The Rainbow Connection" that left not a dry eye in the house.  I LOVE being a Kindie Artist, and am so grateful to all the musicians, producers, children, publishers and DJ's that showed up just when I needed them to.

STOP THAT! -An Anti-Bullying Anthem" used in P.S.A. - March 9, 2014

The song "STOP THAT! - An Anti-Bullying Anthem" was used in a PSA for the country of Antigua and Barbuda. I don't know why I am surprised every time I am contacted from someone in another country. This problem of bullying is universal and it's time we ALL do something to put an end to it. Parents, teach your children well, and treat them well. They are watching you. Peace, Annie
