A CAPITOL IDEA!!! - December, 2009

On Monday March 1, 2010, Annie and co-writer Chris Arms, along with the Glenside Elementary Singers, under the direction of Marni Berkowitz, will perform their songs, "No Time For Hate" and "STOP THAT!" (an anti-bullying anthem) as well as Annie's nature song, "Listen" at the Harrisburg State Capitol at 12N. for our State Senators, State Representatives, and other visitors. This event sponsored by the PA Music Educators Association. We plan on meeting our State Senator for our district as well as our State Rep. and take a tour of the Capitol Building, then return to Glenside via luxury coach.

SONG RECEIVES HONORS AGAIN... - May 26, 2009

Annie and Chris Arms have just been selected as one of twenty finalists, internationally, in the Children's Genre of the 12th Annual Unisong International Songwriting Contest, for their song, "NO TIME FOR HATE." A Big thanks to all the kids who sang on this song, for making it so wonderful.

Glenside Elementary Rocks to the Music of Annie Lynn and Chris Arms - April 20, 2009

On April 20th, 2009, Glenside Elementary School received its NO PLACE FOR HATE designation from the Anti-Defamation League, and premiered the anthem
"NO TIME FOR HATE", written by Annie Lynn and Chris Arms.

The event was filmed by Local Media.

The 300 students also celebrated Earth Day, and again, premiered the song, "Listen - A Nature Song" by Annie Lynn. The enthusiastic students were lead under the superb direction of Mrs. Marni Berkowitz, whose wonderful interpretation of the music was complete with hand clapping, swaying, and even several vocal parts intertwining. The children were wonderful and energetic, and several teachers were also spotted singing along...

A good time was had by all...

Picking up steam... - September 4, 2008

Annie Lynn and Chris Arms finished as semifinalists (in Top 10 all over), in the 2008 U.K. Songwriting Contest, for their co--write "NO TIME FOR HATE." This song has been endorsed by and licensed to Teachers Against Prejudice (www.teachersagainstprejudice.org) for their educational workshops and assemblies. Thanks to all the kids that sang on this song!

IAMA FINALIST AGAIN!!! - February 1, 2008

FEB. 2008 - ANNIE LYNN AND JIM BURNS FINISH AS ONE OF TEN FINALISTS IN THE 2007 INTERNATIONAL ACOUSTIC MUSIC AWARDS FOR BEST COUNTRY/BLUEGRASS SONG, FOR THEIR COMPOSITION, "MY BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAIN SKIES." CONGRATULATIONS TO WINNER RANDY KOHRS! THIS SONG'S YOURS IF YOU WANT IT DUDE!

HONORABLE MENTION IN JLSC! - September, 2007

THANKS TO A GREAT TEAM EFFORT FROM ALEX W., HANNAH S. AND WANAMAKER LEWIS, SONG "NEW SCHOOL" WAS AWARDED HONORABLE MENTION IN THE SESSION 1 2007 JOHN LENNON SONGWRITING CONTEST IN THE CHILDREN'S GENRE. "NEW SCHOOL" WAS ALSO JUST CHOSEN TO BE ON A COMPILATION CD TO BENEFIT PEDIATRIC CANCER RESEARCH/PATIENTS. (SEE LINK PAGE FOR INFO).
